Then come along to Winscombe Recreation Ground at 10. 15.am on any Sunday morning in the Rugby Football season (1st September to 30 April) and join us. Open to both Boys & Girls
We have a great squad and lots of coaches - we would love to see you.
Come along and try it out for a couple of weeks for free, you will get a warm welcome.
There will be regular drink breaks during the session so please ensure your children have got some fluids with them. Also an hour and a half can be a long time so don’t be afraid in bring a snack, e.g. biscuits or chocolate bars etc., along for them as well. (Especially if you are going to treat yourself to a bacon roll)
Please can we ensure we take away our litter, bags, clothes after the session.
Cold Weather Kit: It is important the children are warm and dry enough, so wet weather gear and thermals are a must because it can get cold as the colder months approach. Several thinner layers are better than one thick layer. A woolly hat is also a good idea (club hats in the caravan and can be used while playing) and a coat to put on after. Parents, try to think Long sleeve cold weather kit, jackets, etc. If you put a child only in a short sleeve cotton t-shirt below their rugby shirt, they will be cold.
We play from 10.30 am until 12.00 noon each Sunday at Winscombe Recreation ground during the season.
Coaches: See below for full list.
Despite having a good number of coaches we always need as many people as possible so if you want to put a pair a boots on and get involved please don’t sit on the sidelines; get involved and enjoy a great time - helping coach or with the Admin.. Remember the more we get the easier it is for the children to get more out of it. This is an open offer to mums as well as dads!. The club will pay for CRB registration checks and if you want to go further and qualify as a coach, the club will pay for this as well. The more involved the better and if you are interested in helping out in any way please let us know by speaking to one of the Coaches.
