Firsts finally get to host Sidmouth while everyone else has a rest

Update - Colts now playing their home fixture vs WsM away under lights on Friday evening, KO 7pm - always a good one, support welcome!

This week the firsts finally host high-flying Sidmouth in a much-postponed Western Counties West fixture. Sidmouth's valiant attempts to avoid playing an away fixture on a Six Nations weekend finally came to a end with an RFU instruction to play a couple of weeks' ago. They're certain to be tough opponents - lying second in the league they comfortably beat Winscombe 36-7 on the trip to their place. However, their recent run of form isn't great, having only won one of their last four games, while Combe have won three on the bounce.

As it's Six Nations Super Saturday this was slated to be a rest weekend for the seniors and there are no second or third team fixtures, so we're hoping for a big crowd to support the firsts as they tackle their biggest and most important challenge yet.

The Colts are playing on Sunday, however, hosting local rivals Weston-super-Mare in their last GRFU development league game of the season. They're currently second and Clifton have won the league already, but a good win will help us stop Hornets overtaking us. After this the Colts will be working up to their Somerset Cup Final on the 14th April.

The Minis have their county festivals on Sunday, travelling to different locations all over Somerset - good luck and have fun! The U13s are training, the U14s are away to Wells, and the U15s welcome Old Bristolians. In the afternoon the girls U15 and U18 team make the long journey to Ellingham and Ringwood - they U13s may be touring, it's not clear...
